• What ratings do you offer?

    At The Flying School, we offer the Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot License, CFI Rating, CFII Rating, Multi-engine rating, and MEI.

  • How long does it take to get become a professional pilot?

    The short answer is, that depends on you! The more committed you are to the program, the quicker you will complete your license/rating. The more often you fly, the less time you will spend building muscle memory.

  • Do you offer financing?

    We do not offer finance for our Part 61 operations. If you need financing, we recommend looking into our Part 141 program in Cheyenne with Liberty University. Through this program, you may be able to recieve traditional student aid.

  • Do you have to prepay for lessons?

    We do not require any prepaid balance to begin flight training. We keep a credit to debit card on file with us, and you will be invoiced weekly.

  • How do I get my student pilot license?

    To obtain your student pilot license, you must have an instructor present to endorse you and they will help you set up an IACRA account for the FAA.

  • How much does flight training cost?

    The cost of flight training depends totally on the student. If you would like to get more information and a basic quote, please email us through the contact page or give us a call.

  • What type of aircraft will I be training on?

    The majority of your flight training will be done in Cessna 172s in Loveland and Cheyenne. If you are wanting to get your sport pilot license, you will train in our Light Sport RV12 in Loveland. We also offer variety of other specialty aircraft in both Cheyenne and Loveland so that you can be a well rounded and experienced pilot. All of our aircraft are listed in detail under our “The Fleet” page.

  • How do I choose the right flying school?

    When selecting a flying school, it is important to consider factors such as accreditation, instructor qualifications, facilities, and aircraft fleet. At The Flying School, we prioritize quality training. Too often, we see students from other programs come to us with major skills deficits due to the school training students to the minimum standards in exchange for a faster program. The Flying School takes great pride in our high rate of first time passes for our check rides. You will complete our programs knowing that you are a safe and competent pilot who is ready to bear the responsibility that comes with your choice of profession.

  • What is the process for becoming a pilot?

    To become a pilot, start by taking a discovery flight with us. If you love it, we will sign you up for lesson 1. During your training, you will learn essential aviation skills, including aircraft control, navigation, and emergency procedures. You must pass a written knowledge, oral, and practical test covering aeronautical topics to demonstrate you proficiency and qualify for a private pilot license.
